# Create a Team

### **About**
This guide explains Sanas Teams and how to create a new Team.
#### **Sanas Team**
Sanas Team is the most unit-level space in your Workspace that you can utilize to group users using the Sanas app. You can make teams based on the projects, operations, geographical location, working shifts, etc.
### **Before You Begin**
- You must have **Admin** privileges on the Sanas Portal to create a Team.
### **Create a new Team**
1. Log in to the [Sanas Portal (opens in new tab)](https://portal2.sanas.ai/) with your credentials.
2. Click **Users** from the navigation menu.
3. Click **Create Team.**
4. Enter the following details for the new Team:

| Parameter | Value |
|-----------|-------|
| **Team** | Enter a suitable team name. |
| **Supervisor**
(`Optional`) | Search for and assign a **supervisor** to the Team. If required, you can skip this step now and assign it later. Assigning multiple supervisors for a Team is allowed.
๐ **Note**: If you don't find your intended person to assign as supervisor, ensure the user is assigned the **Supervisor** role. |
| **Add Users**
(`Optional`) | ๐**Note**: If required, you can skip adding app users at this stage, and [add them later](https://help.sanas.ai/v1/docs/how-to-add-users-to-a-team).
Add app users to the newly created Team by:
- **User ID**: Enter the User ID. The User ID must be unique for each app user.
- **Name**: Enter the app userโs name.
- Click **Add Another** to add multiple app users. |
5. Click **Create Team** to finalize the setup.
